PERRIS, Calif. — As California
faces one of its worst droughts in two decades, building projects are
being curtailed for the first time under state law by the inability of
developers to find long-term water supplies.
Water authorities and other government agencies scattered throughout
the state, including here in sprawling Riverside County, east of Los
Angeles, have begun denying, delaying or challenging authorization for
dozens of housing tracts and other developments under a state law that
requires a 20-year water supply as a condition for building. Continue reading this post…
It’s that time of year again, when the mayor of Los Angeles talks about conserving water. His ideas range from “toilet to tap”, higher water bills, banning watering lawns and washing cars. The real thing to do is STOP building! Get rid of all the illegal aliens, stop expanding and then talk about conserving water. He wont do any of that, you know it, I know it and he knows it. So in that light here is this weeks water pig award winner.
It seems that no one is paying any attention to the water problems we here in the SFV are facing. Like the gas prices, water rates are rising and everyone keeps on sending water down the drain like its free and just running out of the pipes in an endless supply.
